About Jeff Yee Creative
Jeff Yee Creative is a home for artwork that comes with a story. The pieces you'll see here — including Fear Not the Abyss, Ocean of Emotion, The Fall of Love, My Marine Dream, Protect Your Nest, Mother Mandrill, Lion to Myself, Biting Waterfalls, and Dragon with Golden Egg — didn't appear by accident. Each one started at an Art Night: a themed session where one idea was taken up, explored, and painted into something new.
How the Art Nights Started
The Art Nights began as a way to keep creating on a regular schedule, with a theme to work against. Rather than waiting for inspiration, each session was given a title and a date — Dragon with Golden Egg on 8/16/20, Lion to Myself on 8/24/20, Mother Mandrill on 8/31/20, and onward through fall into winter, closing the run with Fear Not the Abyss on 12/20/20. The constraint worked: it turned a blank canvas into a prompt, and a prompt into a body of work.
What you'll find on this site is the outcome of that run — a series of pieces that share a method but not a mood. Some are playful, some darker, some quietly personal. Together they read like a diary kept in paint.
What We Do
- Create themed artwork. Every piece is built around one title and idea, developed through the Art Night process rather than assembled from a trend.
- Host and document Art Nights. The sessions are the engine of the practice — a recurring date with a theme, plus a record of what came out of it.
- Share the work and its story. Each piece on the site is shown alongside the night it belongs to, so you can see the idea and the artwork side by side.
Who It's For
Jeff Yee Creative is for people who enjoy art with a narrative — collectors and casual viewers alike who want to know what a piece is about, not just what it looks like. It's also for anyone who has wanted to make something on a regular schedule and needed a theme to get started. The Art Nights show that a title and a date can be enough.
What We Value
- Consistency over bursts. Showing up on a schedule is what produced this body of work.
- Themes as tools. A strong title narrows the field and makes the work possible.
- Story first. Every piece here has a name and a night behind it, and that context is part of the art.
- Openness. The work is shared publicly, session by session, so the process stays visible.

Every Art Night pairs a title with a date, and that simple structure is what keeps the work moving. The gallery gathers those sessions in one place, so you can follow the run from start to finish and see how each theme shaped the piece it produced.
